Owners description:

Poppy was born deaf and had a neurological condition causing her to collapse when very excited for the first 2 years of her life (paroxysmal dyskinesia). We are hoping it won't come back, but can't be sure, so we take a day at a time. Despite all this she loves everyone and the groomer said only yesterday she had never seen a dog who wags her tail so much! She is full of fun, loves cuddles and never bears a grudge. She even still loves her vets! She takes her deafness in her stride and is leaning more and more sign language. Her joy for life, despite her rocky start and disabilities, is just amazing and I think many humans could learn a lot from her. I adore her!

Reason for joining: My last dog, Beau, had two types of cancer, and she died due to one of them. I want to help to try to find out more about what causes some of these terrible diseases so we can try to minimise the risk of them happening.
