Owners description:

Florence has always been a strong willed Labrador right from the word go. She knows what she wants out of life and has amazing resilience.

She has now reached the grand old age of 15 years and 5 months and is still going strong but has now started to slow up. She loves to get up early for her breakfast, usually around 5.30am, then once she's been out on the lawn, it's back to bed usually rising for a second breakfast around 10am! She now has several short walks a day due to her heart problems, but still enjoys a sniff to see who has been round her neighbourhood. Her favourite outing is to go to the beach, although these days it's just a short stroll along the beach to the cafe and back, usually taking in a quick sploosh along the way.

Because she can't manage slopes or steps anymore, her favourite beaches are now Scarborough or Sandsend as she can't manage the hill down to the beach at Whitby or Cayton Bay any more.

She still has a very waggy tail, enjoys her food and snuggling up on the bed. She likes to know you are close by and gets upset when she can't find us - especially daddy who isn't usually allowed to go anywhere without her.
